Fall’s Reverie

I rock in my patio chair, basking in the warm embrace of a lazy fall day. I relish thoughts of my happy life. The trees boast vibrant reds, oranges, yellows, and greens in golden light, a vivacious show of glory before the bitter days of winter soon to come.
If only these days could last forever! But leaves fade and fall, and fall fades to winter’s death. So too, these blissful days will fall into faded memories.
I will cherish every day of success and failure, joy and pain, laughter and love — the inescapable wheels in the circle of life — fall’s reverie.
