King Bartholomew summoned the ambassadors of Ukravia and Ruzkovia to the palace.
“Ambassadors, thanks for coming today. I am pleased to hear of the ceasefire between your countries.”
The ambassadors looked at each other, then at the king.
“Your Majesty, there is no ceasefire,” said the Ukravian ambassador.
“We are still at war with each other,” said the Ruzkovian ambassador.
“But you agreed. Do you know why I know?” said the king.
“We do not know, Your Majesty,” said the Ukravian ambassador.
“Please tell us,” said the Ruzkovian ambassador.
King Bartholomew beamed. “Because I said you agreed. That is why.”
