The Fix

I have an addiction
It starts as a gentle itch that tickles the corner of my mind, demanding a scratch. I resist — but it persists — and grows stronger every hour.
My resolve is firm. I don’t want it. I don’t need it. I won’t give in again.
I give in. I need a fix for this craving — this insatiable urge that’s driving me insane. It will be the last time, I promise.
The wrapper crackles delightfully as I open it. I take a bite, and sweet relief floods my brain. The fix for my addiction to Little Debbie Swiss Rolls.
