Wally at Three

Molly feeds the squirrels at the park every day at three. They gather around her bench and scamper after the breadcrumbs she tosses their way.
A grey squirrel hops up beside her.
“Good afternoon, Wally. How’s my favorite little squirrel doing today?”
The squirrel chirps. She gives him a crumb.
One day, Molly doesn’t come to the park.
A few days later, a man sits on the bench.
“Mama sure did love it here,” he whispers, wiping his eyes.
A grey squirrel hops up beside him.
“Well, hello little fellow,” says the man. “Did you know Molly?”
The squirrel chirps.
